We are currently looking for a sous chef to work for a care home in the Hagley area of Stourbridge.
Working alongside the Head chef and kitchen assistants you will be responsible for the delivery of breakfast, Lunch and dinner for the residents. The meals are all produced with fresh ingredients on site, including pastry work.
The ideal candidate for this position will have strong knowledge of allergens, dietary requirements and the preparation & handling of fresh ingredients. You will also have experience leading a shift, managing stock levels and training staff.
The job is working four shifts per week, majority of shifts are 7-5pm. One week you will work Monday to Thursday, the following week you will work Monday, Friday to Sunday. Any extra hours are paid as overtime. You will also receive other great company benefits.
Due to the location of the care home this position is suitable for candidates with their own transport.
