My client is an exciting catering company based in Tyseley, looking to add a Junior Sous Chef to help assist the management team in guiding their passionate catering team. The catering teams focus is the mass production of high-quality pre-packaged meals sent nationally to various establishments across the country, mainly government sites. The catering team is currently averaging around 7000 meals daily and are looking to increase this number through the year.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Jnr Sous Chef will be:
·        Guiding the catering team of 65 to provide high quality meals consistently and in line with recipes decided by the Exec and Head Chef.
·        Ensure food hygiene and health and safety are kept to a high standard.
·        Deputising in the absence of the Exec and Head Chef, ensuring a smooth and swift food production line.
·        Helping load the final packaged meals for delivery across the UK.
Our ideal Jnr Sous Chef will:
·        Be a determined chef with a real passion for food.
·        Personable and friendly, with good communication and leadership skills.
·        Ideally have experience in a food production line.
·        Experience in mass catering, cooking of upwards of 1000 meals to spec daily

Salary: £30,279 per annum
Schedule: 45 hours per week, 5/7 days, 10-hour shifts with 1 hour lunch break
