I am currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join a community café. 


You will be part of a team that ensures the Café provides good quality food on a daily basis consistently meeting customer requirements. 


As Chef, your duties will include –   

• Controlling and directing the food preparation processes ensuring the food offering is of the highest possible quality. 
• Assisting with implementing an attractive but simple menu that meets the needs of the community, promoting healthy, balanced choices.
• Involvement with stock control, managing the kitchen budget, ordering supplies.  
• Supporting all training volunteers to learn how to prepare and cook a healthy meal. 
• Building rapport with clients and professionally representing and promoting the business 

The ideal Chef will –   

• Have previous experience within a similar role. 
• Have great empathy and people skills.  
• Have a track record of effective leadership skills.  
• Be a team player as well as be able to work on own initiative where necessary.  
• Be flexible, reliable enthusiastic.  

As Chef, you will be working approx. 40 hours per week, days and hours to start will be set as –

• 10am – 8pm Thursday & Friday
• 8.30am – 6.30pm Saturday & Sunday

Salary is set at £25,000 per annum.
