My client is a 4* boutique hotel located in the Solihull area who is looking for a Sous Chef to join their lively kitchen team, bringing new ideas to their exceptional menu.

The duties and responsibilities of the Sous Chef will be:  

  • Deputising the Head Chef when needed, assisting with leading and guiding the kitchen team in every service, maintaining a high consistent level throughout.  
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality 
  • Training and developing the team, guiding them and helping them grow both professionally and personally.  
  • Bringing new ideas and inspiration to the restaurant, banqueting & wedding menus
  • Provide a consistently high level of service and product delivery.  
  • Controlling and managing stock


The ideal Sous Chef will:  

  • Be approachable, organised and consistent.
  • Ideally will have cooked to rosette standard.
  • Be inspirational and creative.
  • Be reliable and hard working.


Due to location, candidate will need to drive or have access to their own transport.

Sous Chef Job Type: Full-time, Permanent   

Salary: £35k per annum 

Schedule: 45 hours, 5/7 days
