Our client is seeking an ambitious and hands-on Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to support the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of their 4* restaurants, bars, conferences, weddings and events.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to further their management career within a prestigious hospitality setting.

 

The Role

Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all food and beverage services across the hotel. You will lead by example, support team development, maintain exceptional service standards, and help drive commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the daily management of restaurant, bar, conference and event operations.

  • Leading service teams during busy periods and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

  • Assisting with the delivery of weddings, conferences, private functions and special events.

  • Monitoring guest satisfaction and resolving issues professionally and effectively.

  • Supporting recruitment, training, coaching and performance management of team members.

  • Assisting with labour control, stock management, cost control and revenue generation.

  • Conducting service briefings and ensuring operational standards are consistently maintained.

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, licensing and company policies.

  • Deputising for the Food & Beverage Manager during periods of absence.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

✅ A minimum of 3 years' management experience within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, bar or events operations.

✅ Proven experience leading teams in a busy, customer-focused environment.

✅ Strong knowledge of restaurant, bar, conference and event service.

✅ Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

✅ Experience training, coaching and developing team members.

✅ A proactive and hands-on management style.

✅ Good commercial awareness with experience of controlling labour, stock and costs.

✅ Knowledge of food safety, allergen management and health & safety compliance.

✅ Experience with EPOS systems, cash handling and operational administration.

✅ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
